What a blessing, what great times we have had seeing old friends and witnessing to strangers.
It started the last week of June when we rented a car in Miami and drove it to Hamburg, New York where we picked up our 1987 Ford sedan which had been stored there for two years with a tarp over it. It started right up and since then we have put over 15,000 miles on it. Attended a great Baptist Mid-Missions conference in Elyria, Ohio.
While in Montana we stayed at the missionary guest house at Bethel Baptist in Kalispell, and had medical work done in Kalispell. I, Rick, had cataracts removed from both eyes.
In California we took the bus out of storage and lived in it while parked at First Baptist, Santa Maria. I passed the pilot's physical in Lompoc, CA.
The plan is to leave the Ford Crown Vic in Sebring Florida at Maranatha Village, and get right back into the work in Belem. We will soon be hosting a retreat for our pastors and families; Evandro, Erica and the kids are planning to drive up to Belem from Curitiba in December, a four-day car trip, and we plan to spend most of the time out in the interior doing construction on the church and house there, which so far are only foundations. Thank you for your prayers and interest in this ministry.
On the road, your missionaries,
Rick and Gayle in Vicksburg (but not for long).
