seminary. During the day yesterday, we drove out 2‐1/2 hours to the interior for the monthly pastors'
meeting, driving the Ford Fiesta and taking two pastors with us.
Saturday mornings is the Children's Bible Club at church, along with the calling program, and music classes at
seminary Saturday afternoons; young peoples' meeting in the evening at church. We have Bible studies for
the ladies on Thursdays at the church and for the men at seminary.
Crime and Punishment, Mainly the former. One of our teenage girls from church was just robbed of money,
purse, and cell phone. Gayle had her Ford Fiesta broken into and her purse stolen. She and Rick were in the
local bank paying bills. Burglars tried to get into our church and a house on campus a few days later, did
damage to security doors, wooden doors and windows.
God is always looking out for us Romans 8:28 Gayle lost about $85.00 in her purse, cell phone, and
prescription sunglasses but had all her documents with her; looking back, we think she came close to being
robbed at gunpoint. The teenage girl was robbed but not harmed. The burglars did not get away with any
loot, partly because we don't leave things in the church, partly because they probably ran out of me. We've
had to spend time and invest in putting on wrought iron doors in front of the wooden doors and buying more
We bought a new, Makita chainsaw with a 36‐inch blade to clean up the mess from four 100‐foot trees, up to
four feet in diameter at the base, which fell from the neighboring jungle onto our seminary wall and soccer
field. Towards the end of the job the piston seized on the chainsaw. But Makita fixed it free on warranty.
We are so thankful for the new Volkswagen van (Kombi). Seems impossible, but there it sits in the
carport. Thanks to all who helped us. We continue to depend upon your prayers as we work with those who
need the Lord as their Saviour and others who need to grow in the Christian life. Never a dull moment! We
continually thank the Lord for you faithful supporters of the ministry here.
